10-second breakdown:
Geared towards smaller operations, Infusionsoft is relatively easy to use and comes packed with tons of opportunities to customize it to your liking – in many cases it’s as easy as drag and drop.
Infusionsoft is used in small (0-50 employees) and medium (51-1,000 employees) companies.
The good:
Automation is the strongest asset in Infusionsoft’s tool bag. It allows you to take emails, texts, and even certain portions of the sales process off your plate without losing personalization with your leads.
Once considered one of the hardest tools to implement, this tool is now much easier with a drag and drop interface and an incredibly helpful community.
With the reporting options available, you’ll feel like you are genuinely getting to know your leads. You can use that information to improve your overall sales process.
The bad:
The price tag on this solution is higher than other options in the category.
The ecommerce option can be handy, but tools focused on internet shops are far and away better.
How it works:
Infusionsoft is focused around 4 core functionalities: CRM, Marketing Automation, Sales Automation and, unique to Infusionsoft, E-commerce.
The CRM services fulfill all of your basic management needs. There’s plenty of contact management features to help you collect data from leads and organize the contacts. Individual records are easy to navigate but still come packed with information including lead source and score, past orders, website activity and all interactions with your business.
The Marketing Automation module helps you to work smarter, not harder. With a few clicks you can see who’s spending the most time on your website and comes packed with plenty of automated features like offering a discount to the hottest leads or following up with a lead when they leave your site while they had something in their shopping cart.
A premium module that isn’t included in all of the plans, Infusionsoft’s Sales Automation helps to boost your revenue through lead management. It comes with a data-driven approach to ‘Lead Scoring’ that will tell you who’s hot and who’s not. You can play around with the settings too to prioritize certain activities over others. Sales Automation also comes with a few handy pipeline management settings like automating follow-up reminders and advanced reports that can be broken down by product, team member and more.
One thing Infusionsoft offers that separates them from the competition is native support for a full e-commerce store. They can upgrade your website with a professional storefront, shopping cart and order forms. Everything is customizable, so you can sell any products, services or subscriptions in a store that fits your brand image. The neat part is all of the data from the sales automatically funnel into your CRM system so you can keep tabs on what is and isn’t selling.
Where Infusionsoft really shines is in the ‘My Day’ overview. It’s similar to dashboards from competitors but is focused only on the tasks you have coming up. You can manage all of your tasks and appointments right from the one view instead of jumping around, similar to how a physical planner works but without all of the hassle. If you’re a type-A, action focused person you’ll absolutely love how easy it makes to plan your next step.
Pricing for Infusionsoft is a little bit blurry. You first choose from one of their 5 different plans and then add one of 3 different ‘Kickstart Packages’ – essentially implementation packages. Unfortunately, the kickstart packages aren’t optional, even if you’re already familiar with what CRM software does. All of the plans are signed for a minimum of one year but on the plus side, you’re billed monthly rather than the year up front. There’s also no free trial offer here, the best you’ll get is an online demo set up or you can book a half hour demo with a product specialist to show you around.
The first plan InfusionSoft offers is the ‘Essentials’ package. It’s a flat $199/month and comes with 3 users, 2,500 contact and 12,500 emails a month. The Essentials plan comes with the CRM and Marketing Automation modules we discussed earlier but leaves out Sales Automation and E-Commerce.
The ‘Deluxe’ plan will set you back $299 flat rate a month and comes with 4 users, 5,000 contacts and 25,000 emails a month. Deluxe comes in two flavors, both of them offer the CRM and Marketing Automation modules. One of the packages adds in Sales Automation, and the other includes E-Commerce.
Next up, the ‘Complete’ package costs $379 a month and comes bundled with 5 users, 10,000 contacts and 50,000. As the name implies, it comes with all 4 modules.
Infusionsoft’s last package is the ‘Team’ plan. It’s $599 a month and will give you 10 users, 20,000 contacts and 100,000 emails a month. Just like Complete you get all 4 modules.
If you need a custom package, you can give InfusionSoft a call to discuss your specific needs. If for instance you love the Complete offering’s 5 users but you don’t need an online storefront, they can set up a custom quote for you.
In addition to the packages, you’re required to pick a Kickstart Package to get started with Infusionsoft. The packages are intended to make getting set up easier and all come with a one time fee. The first one, ‘Kickstart Basic’ costs you $999 and comes with one-on-one time with an Infusionsoft expert. ‘Kickstart Plus’ puts most of the work on Infusionsoft’s shoulders, you tell them what you intend to do with the software, what kinds of reports you want and they go at it. ‘Kickstart Pro’ is entirely hands off, you are the kind and they will set it up exactly as you specify.
Infusionsoft isn’t the cheapest option for small businesses, especially up front, but it’s a powerful program with a unique focus on helping you to hit your sales goals.
